According to the Oregon Department of Corrections, a guy who was serving a term at the Oregon State Prison in Salem and was 35 years old passed away on Saturday(April 1, 2023), morning for reasons that have not been explained.
According to a press statement published by the state on Sunday(April 2, 2023) afternoon, Jesse Michael Banks “died away at the institution.” It said that the state medical examiner would determine the cause of Banks’ de@th, but it did not provide any information.
According to the court records, Banks was sentenced to serve time in prison after entering a guilty plea in October 2022 to three counts of aggravated harassment and one count of assaulting a public safety officer for incidents in 2019 and 2020.

The incidents in question occurred in 2019 and 2020. According to the data provided by the state Department of Prisons, the earliest possible release date for Banks was March 20, 2025. In 2018, Banks was found guilty of assaulting a public safety officer and other offenses, including robbery in the third degree. This was not the first time Banks had been convicted of a crime.
