Unsealed Court Documents Reveal Bombshell Allegations in Johnny Depp-amber Heard Trial

New details have emerged in Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s ongoing defamation lawsuit.

More than 6,000 pages of sealed pretrial documents were unsealed and made public two months after Heard was found liable for defaming Depp in a highly publicized courtroom battle in Virginia, providing insight into matters that attorneys for both sides wanted to keep from the jury. Shocking allegations from both Depp and Heard were included in the court documents, as were previously unseen text messages from the “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor.

Unsealed Documents Reveal Some Serious Allegations

In the beginning, Heard’s ex-husband Johnny Depp sued her for $50 million because of an opinion piece she wrote for the Washington Post in 2018 in which she referred to herself as a “public figure representing domestic abuse.” In the lawsuit, Depp’s lawyers claimed that the Aquaman star “concocted the story in hopes of generating positive publicity and advancing her career,” despite the fact that she never mentioned Depp by name in the essay.

Almost ten and a half million dollars were awarded to Heard’s ex-husband at trial, and Heard has filed an appeal of the verdict. While Heard was awarded $2 million in her countersuit against Depp, Depp attempts to have the verdict overturned.

Heard’s lawyers argued in court documents that “nude pictures of Amber Heard” were “irrelevant personal matters” and should be excluded from the televised trial. They also wanted the jury to avoid seeing a TV clip featuring Heard’s sister Whitney Henriquez and a history of their “past romantic relationships.”

The documents revealed that Heard’s legal team requested that “Amber’s brief stint as an exotic dancer years before she met Mr. Depp” be excluded from the trial. Her attorneys claimed in the filing that Depp’s legal team was planning to use the document “to frivolously and maliciously suggest or imply that Ms. Heard was at one time an escort.”

Unsealed documents included what is claimed to be a 2016 text exchange between Depp and longtime friend Marilyn Manson, in which the controversial singer referred to Depp’s now-wife Lindsay Usich as “an amber 2.0.” After Heard filed for divorce from Johnny Depp, Manson allegedly texted the actor, “Usich pulled an amber on me by seeking a restraining order.”

Texts from the filing showed that Depp then advised Manson “not to give her what she wants,” adding, “Sociopathic behavior… it is f–king real, my brother!! My ex-c–t is goddamn TEXTBOOK!!”

Documents reveal that Manson also warned Depp via text that “serious police amber type scenarios with L’s family” existed. He reportedly wrote, “I’m f—king stressing.”

Lawyers for the “Sweeney Todd” actor reportedly argued in newly released court documents that allowing the jury to see Depp’s texts with Manson would “smear Mr. Depp under a guilty by association theory,” which would hurt the actor’s reputation. According to the filing, Ms. Heard’s attempt to insert Marilyn Manson into this case lacks foundation, is wholly speculative, and constitutes improper character evidence.

Multiple women, including his ex-fiancee Evan Rachel Wood, have accused Manson of sexually abusing them. The musician (real name Brian Warner) has denied the claims in a statement released late last year, calling them “horrible distortions of reality.” He sued Wood for defamation in March after she accused him of abusing her.

Page Six and Newsweek reviewed unsealed court documents in which attorneys for Heard claimed that the “21 Jump Street” actor had erectile dysfunction, writing, “such condition absolutely is relevant to sexual violence, including Mr. Depp’s anger and use of a bottle to rape Amber Heard.”

Depp denied what he called Heard’s “heinous accusations of violence, sexual violence, that she’s attributed to me” during his testimony during the six-week trial in Virginia. Additionally, he said, “No one likes to be the one to “cut themselves open” and reveal the truth, but sometimes it’s necessary when things have spiraled out of control. Horrible. Ridiculous. Humiliating. Ludicrous. Painful. Savage. Brutal beyond comprehension. Inhumane and completely fictitious.”

During his testimony, Depp denied Heard’s claims of sexual battery and physical abuse.
