Buzz Aldrin, the second man to walk foot on the Moon, announced on his 93rd birthday that he had married his longtime fiancée. Aldrin secretly tied the knot with Buzz Aldrin Ventures’ senior vice president, Anca Faur.

Apparently, on his 93rd birthday, Aldrin tweeted, “On my 93rd birthday… I am thrilled to inform you that my lifelong love Dr. Anca Faur & I have wedded the knot.” He included photos of himself and Faur, who is 63. We just got married in a private ceremony in Los Angeles and we couldn’t be more ecstatic.

Having worked for Union Carbide and Johnson Matthey prior to joining Buzz Aldrin Ventures, Faur reportedly got a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 1996. In the past, she had also worked with the California Hydrogen Business Council as its treasurer. Aldrin has been divorced three times.
