The first season of Mortal Kombat was released in 1995 it was then followed up with another series called Mortal Kombat: Annihilation in the year 1997. As the first movie was a super hit the makers decided to have a second movie on the list and other than that they had also planned to add on more to this movie series.
Other than that in 2021 the audience was also introduced with the reboot for the original series and to surprise it become a super hit with time. This reboot was such successful that the executives of the new line had also planned on having a sequel just after the success. So we have gathered everything you need to know about this upcoming show. So keep on reading further to know what shall you expect from this second season.
Mortal Kombat 2: Cast
Now the character who is confirmed for the upcoming movie is Noob Saibot and is going to play the role of Joe Taslim. He had the role of sub-zero in the first installment. So if you are not familiar with the game this original sub-zero which after being defeated by a Scorpion must have transformed into a dangerous shadow who is named Noob Saibot.
He would be the most high-level character in the game series. Even after the transformation from a Ninja to an Evil shadow, he had shown some Epic work in that role, and all the effects used in the first part are going to be present with some extra effects for us.

Even though a lot of fans were upset about Johnny cage not being in the first installment of the movie Ee this arrogant fighter might be present in the second part of the movie series. we are also expecting other characters such as Cole Young ( by Lewis Tan), who would be the child of Scorpion, to be back. It also has been confirmed that Major Jackson Briggs (by Mehcad Brooks), Shang Tsung (Chin Han), and Sonya Blade (by Jessica McNamee), are going to be back for the 2nd installment.
Other than the above-mentioned characters it was also shared in the first installment that Kitana might be back in the second season of the show. All the other characters such as Sheeva, Nightwolf, Kotal Kahn, and Shinnok might also be present in the show.
The first installment of Mortal Kombat had the perfect setup for Sheeva and we are expecting him to be back for the sequel as well Cole had already killed Goro in the first installment. Other than that the second installment is needed to have Shinnok in the show as Shang Tsung is going to be the main antagonist in the show once again.
Other than that it has also been decided that the director might have picked some cast members for specific roles. The most interesting one was Ryan Reynolds to be playing the role of Johnny cage. The actor definitely has all the physical features which include comic and arrogance at the same time and this character might be present in the second installment.
However, it was also mentioned that Ryan might have a busy schedule for the next 12 to 15 months and will be available only after that so until and unless an official announcement is made we are not sure about the characters for this role yet.
Another casting idea which we are expecting is to cast a Dwayne Johnson for this role. But just as Ryan Johnson also has a fixed schedule for the upcoming 12 to 15 months and it is not possible for the star to be available for this franchise. As the show has already started pre-production it is not possible for the start to join the show just yet. However, we are not sure about any for the details of the cast until and unless the makers make an official announcement regarding the cast.
