Who is Alan Rickman’s Wife?

Alan allegedly said in 2015 that he and his longtime partner of 47 years had secretly tied the knot in a small ceremony in 2012. From 1977 until he d!ed in 2010, he and Rima were London residents. In 1965, they had their first encounter when he was 19 and she was 18.

According to an interview he gave, Alan proudly said, “We are married, just recently because nobody was there. It was wonderful.” After the New York City wedding, we walked over the Brooklyn Bridge at midday. He joked that the ring he bought her for $200 never gets worn.

Horton taught economics at Kingston University and served as a Labour Party councilor for Kensington and Chelsea Borough Council from 1986 and 2006. HELLO! magazine also quoted Alan as saying:

“Every relationship ought to be able to set its own ground rules, in my opinion. She is patient. She is really understanding, amazingly patient, possibly deserving of sainthood.”

During his time in New York City, Alan worked on several projects, including the Broadway play Seminar (2011 to 2012) and the film CBGB (inspired by the legendary East Village punk-rock bar of the same name). Rima was a councilor for the Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, London, United Kingdom, from the Labour Party from 1986 until 2006. She also taught economics at Kingston College.
