Amazon India partners with HP Gas to book, make payments for LPG cylinders

Today the E-commerce giant Amazon India has announced a partnership with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited. Owing to the partnership, the customers of Amazon India will be able to book and make payment of their HP gas cylinder refills.

To make the payments, the customers need to access the Amazon pay tab on the  Amazon India website or the Amazon app to book the cylinder. And after entering all the necessary details, ( registered mobile number or the 17-digit LPG ID to get the refill charges against the booking ID) they need to pay by using any digital mode such as UPI, credit cards, debit cards and net-banking. After making the payment, users will get a confirmation message. Moreover, the customers will also be able to view distributor details on Amazon.in.

As per the Amazon officials, after a successful booking, consumers will get up to ₹50 cash-back only if they choose to pay through amazon pay. Additionally, the details of customers will be saved in the portal. Hence, a consumer doesn’t need to re-enter the details every month.

How to Book HP Gas Cylinder Using Alexa?

Aside from the Amazon app, HP consumers can also use the HP gas cylinders using voice commands to book and pay. To do this, they all need to say “Alexa, book my HP gas cylinder” to their any Alexa-enabled devices. The list of Alexa enabled device includes the Amazon Echo smart speakers, Fire TV Stick or a third-party speaker with Alexa Built-in. Upon saying the “Alexa, book my HP gas cylinder”, the virtual assistant will gather all the information related to the registered HP gas mobile number or the LPG ID linked to the Amazon account for existing Amazon Pay users, after retrieving all the necessary details it will ask for customer’s confirmation before making the payment.

“Most of the customers prefer to pay via cash for their LPG cylinder. Our partnership with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited will simplify the booking and payment experience for cooking gas and benefit millions of consumers,” Mahendra Nerurkar, CEO, Amazon Pay said on occasion.
