Brembo’s distinctive colored brakes cease most of the world’s fastest automobiles, however, about the electric automobiles of the future, it faces an issue – traditional brakes are noisy.

Brembo is creating lighter, electrical brake-by-wire mechanisms utilized in electric vehicles to replace conventional hydraulic brakes and faces a threat to its enterprise from so-called regenerative braking techniques that capture energy lost when automobiles slow down and pump it back into the battery.
Started in 1961 in a small workshop near the northern Italian city, the household-owned firm believes an acquisition is an answer so it can expand into digital gadgets and keep tempo with modifications in how vehicles are designed and used.
Brembo isn’t alone. German auto components manufacturer ZF Friedrichshafen, for instance, purchased U.S. rival Wabco for more than $7 billion this year to strengthen its expertise in autonomous-driving applied sciences.
Tiraboschi stated the brake manufacturer, which caters to premium brands akin to BMW, Ferrari, Tesla, and Mercedes as well as several Formula 1 teams, was looking at the auto industry for acquisitions.
Tiraboschi stated in June the corporate, which has a market capitalization of 3.1 billion euros ($3.5 billion), was eyeing a target of “vital size” – while significant as Brembo itself.
