Battlefield 2042 is a first-person shooter game released in 2021 by Electronic Arts and developed by DICE. It was released on November 19, 2021, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. It is the twelfth main installment in the Battlefield series. Battlefield 2042, unlike previous games in the series, is a multiplayer-only game with no single-player campaign. It also includes cross-platform play, which is a first for the franchise. For its technical troubles, lack of content at launch, and key gameplay tweaks, Battlefield 2042 garnered mixed reviews from critics and a negative response from players.
Season 1 of Battlefield 2042 is almost approaching, and we may have a sneak peek at what’s in store, including the game’s first DLC Specialist and map. We’ve been waiting for Battlefield 2042 season 1 for about 6 months, and we’re still waiting. The game has been in pre-season for the entire time while fans wait for any sign of fresh content.
We’re only a few days away from the June release of Battlefield 2042 Season 1. And it appears like the game is about to undergo some significant modifications.

Battlefield 2042 New Map Exposure
Following that, Battlefield 2042 finally gets a new map. Exposure’s first image leaked back in December, and we’ve been waiting for it to arrive ever since. Exposure is said to be located in the Canadian highlands, where a hidden research facility awaits discovery. This upcoming battleground, according to EA, “takes map design to a whole new level,” so we’re excited to see it in action. Thankfully, the new Exposure 24/7 playlist will make it simple for fans to get into Season 1 right away.
New Vehicles
Battlefield 2042 appears to be getting two new vehicles to try out, in addition to other Season 1 content. The RAH-68 Shoshone and the KA-99 Hannibal are stealth helicopters used by the US and Russian militaries, respectively. One pilot and one player in the gunner position are available in each vehicle.
New Weapons
In terms of new weaponry, we don’t know which ones will be added to the list of Battlefield 2042 just yet. The AM-17 Assault Rifle, MGA Saw K LMG, TTS XCEED Sniper, CRB Scout, and M45A1 have all been previously leaked by Temporyal. Given Battlefield 2042’s extremely limited weapon selection, we can only hope that the upcoming update brings a few additions.
Dataminers have uncovered some crucial information from Battlefield 2042 data, revealing the highlights of Season 1 content, including a new map and a new specialist’s gadget. DICE is adamant about revealing the first season of Battlefield 2042 next month, in the hopes of reviving the game and bringing gamers back to EA’s latest multiplayer blockbuster after the initial reaction following its rocky debut.
Although DICE just disclosed some significant updates coming to Battlefield 2042 with Season 1, they didn’t share anything about the game’s next content.
Hopefully, a data miner has discovered some fascinating clues on Season 1 that disclose not only its name but also the appearance of the new specialist and a thumbnail from the new map.
Battlefield 2042 Season 1 Will Have a Guided Rocket Launcher As Special Gadget
Season 1 will be titled Zero Hour, and it will premiere with a Polish specialist named Ewelina Lis, whose unique weapon is a Guided Rocket Launcher, according to the leak. A pair of two-seat stealth choppers will also be added to the game. Despite their different appearances, each faction in the game will receive one of the choppers, and their statistics are supposed to be the same.

A thumbnail from the wild indicates that Battlefield 2042 will get a new map called Black Ridge in Season 1, however, the leak doesn’t reveal where the map will be set, though it was speculated to be in Canada. Finally, Season 1 will feature a Premium Battle Pass as well as two new modes: 24/7 Exposure Conquest and Exposure Mayhem. The following are the details for the new modes:
Exposure 24/7: Play conquest on Exposure on repeat. Jump into the action and join the battle for Black Ridge.
Exposure Mayhem: All Exposure, all the time. Enjoy conquest on the newest map with faster projectile and movement speed, quicker vehicle spawn, and faster deployment! Keep in mind that before EA or DICE officially confirm the future features for Battlefield 2042’s first season, these are all subject to change.
Battlefield 2042 Season 1 is slated to be released early next month. It will be available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC.
