As the series is renewed for another installment, fans are extremely curious to know about the details of this upcoming story. It seems pretty obvious as the American crime drama television series, Better Call Saul has entertained us a lot more than what was expected.
Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould created the television show. It is a sequel to Gilligan’s previous series, Breaking Bad. It was not expected what type of show we would be having to watch when the Breaking Bad spinoff, Better Call Saul premiered on AMC in 2015.
On Breaking Bad, Bob Odenkirk’s cunning lawyer character Saul Goodman had his serious moments, but he was also an origin of comic relief in a show that dealt in nail-biting dramatic tension, in the very last seasons.
Ozark Season 4 Will Release in Two Parts and Have an Explosive Finale
The reception of the show was up to the mark. Better Call Saul got its own exhilarating, implicit assumption beast that is loved by the audience throughout. While the series has many parallels to Walter White’s adversities, co-creators Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould also developed Jimmy McGill into a complex main character who can stand on his own, and the final season should provide plenty of opportunities for the writers to tie up the storyline and ramp up the tension.
Now, there are lots of questions hovering around on what is coming next in the story. This is what we know so far about Season 6 of this thriller drama.
Is a Sixth Season of Better Call Saul on the Way?
Yes, indeed. Season 6 is all set to continue the story. Gould tweeted a photo from the first episode of Season 6 on March 10, 2021. The clapperboard in the photo confirms that Michael Morris, who directed “Wexler Vs.
Goodman” in Season 5, will instruct the first episode. Odenkirk later shared a picture of himself and some of his Better Call Saul co-stars getting the COVID vaccine late last month.
Talking about the updates from the set of the series, the work is ongoing but the necessary precautions have been taken after the heart attack incident.
Following Odenkirk’s heart attack on set, executive producer Thomas Schnauz informed Den of Geek that production of the story is “moving forward, steady but slowly,” adding, “We are filming a scene that just does not involve Bob right now.”
Better Call Saul Season 6: Release Date
In any case, Better Call Saul’s season finale should be entertaining. The final stages of Saul’s transformation, as well as his fate as Gene, will be shown to spectators. Season 6 of Better Call Saul does not yet have a premiere date. However, it is expected that the new episodes are likely to air in 2022 in a recent article about Odenkirk’s comeback to production.
Seasons of the show usually have 10 episodes, but the final season will have 13 episodes to wrap up the story. Better Call Saul will now have a total of 63 episodes. Breaking Bad’s final season had 16 episodes and also was split into two parts that aired in different years, but the final season is unlikely to be split in half.
Season 6 of Better Call Saul Will Focus on What Happened in the Previous Season
Better Call Saul, unlike most other TV shows, had a predetermined ending and a horrific structure to build around in the story. The television series was always going to focus on Jimmy McGill’s transitional stage into Saul Goodman, with all the moral lapses that imply, because it is a remake set prior to the events of Breaking Bad.
However, the show’s use of black-and-white flash-forward scenes has hinted at the possibility of the story continuing beyond the Breaking Bad timeline, so the conclusion is really not written in stone.
Now, we just have to wait to understand what new the makers will add to the story to make it interesting and worth watching in season 6. For more updates on your favorite stories, explore more with us.
