With new rumors suggesting an October launch, MAPPA stated that the anime adaptation of the popular manga Chainsaw Man will be released in 2022.
Many manga series from around the world are available to read online, but there aren’t like Chainsaw Man.
In recent years, this manga has been a favorite among readers because of its dark topic, graphic violence, and memorable characters.
As a result of this, MAPPA has confirmed that the Chainsaw Man anime adaptation will be released in 2022!
Chainsaw Man Anime Adaptation Announcement
The Unofficial Shonen Jump News announced in December 2020 that a “TV anime adaptation” of Chainsaw Man had been in the making.
After author Tatsuki Fujimoto announced that an “important announcement” will be made following the completion of the book, many fans were expecting an anime adaptation to be revealed.
As of 13 December, a horrific television series based on the classic manga had been confirmed. Chainsaw Man’s anime version will be produced by MAPPA, an animation studio based in Tokyo.
The God of High School, Dorohedoro, Jujutsu Kaisen, and the final season of Attack on Titan have all been produced by MAPPA in the past few years.
MAPPA’s previous work has been visually spectacular, so it’s understandable that fans are eager about the Chainsaw Man anime.

Release Date for Chainsaw Man Anime
The WSJ manga claimed on December 3rd, 2021, that part 2 of the manga and the anime adaptation would launch in 2022. This was announced at the 2022 Jump Festa Event in Japan, where both the anime adaptation and manga series were prominently highlighted.
Unfortunately, MAPPA has not specified a precise date for the 2022 release of the Chainsaw Man anime. But we can assume it to release in October 2022. Rumors about an October 2022 release date have already been circulating on social media, with fans throughout the world also speculating the same.
New rumors concerning the anime adaptation have surfaced online this week. According to a recent post from Anime YouTuber James Hanson, the series will last two cours and will release in the fall.
According to this, about 24 episodes will be produced over the course of three months, ranging from October 2022 to March 2023 — assuming both premieres take place simultaneously.
When Chainsaw Man finally makes its big-screen debut, viewers may look forward to the show airing on Sunday nights. The reason is that Sundays are becoming the most popular day for anime to screen in Japan, as seen by shows like Attack on Titan, Jujitsu Kaisen, and Demon Slayer.
Chainsaw Man season 1 episode 1 is expected to broadcast on either Sunday, October 2nd or Sunday, October 9th, according to our early estimates. This has yet to be confirmed.
One of today’s top anime companies, MAPPA, can devote a huge amount of money to animation, the most time-consuming component of any project.
The degree of computer-generated animation that could appear in Chainsaw Man has sparked an interesting debate.
CG Vs 2D Animation Debate
Sadly, the latest ‘leak’ from the social media handle ‘rcco r0nd0’ that revealed how CG animation will operate in the CSM anime has sparked anxiety among fans.
Computed Generated animation and 2D art will be used for backgrounds rather than characters or action in the production, claims ‘rcco r0nd0’s’.
The ‘leak’ also stated that MAPPA’s aesthetic approach will have a substantial impact on the production timeframe.
