Chris Tyson, a YouTuber often seen alongside MrBeast, has revealed they had started receiving hormone replacement therapy. The 26-year-old with “any pronouns” in their Twitter profile announced this past week that they had begun the transitional processes two months earlier.
The Cleveland Clinic asserts that HRT may help those who don’t fully identify with either masculine or feminine behaviors.
“Informed consent HRT saved my and many others’ lives,” Tyson wrote. “The hurdles [gender nonconforming] people have to jump through to get life-saving gender-affirming healthcare in a 1st world country is wild to me. Just let people make informed decisions about their own bodies.”
MrBeast, whose actual name is Jimmy Donaldson, tweeted “Gotchu” in response to his friend’s big news. After beginning HRT, Tyson was happy with the results when they compared an old picture of themselves to the current one.
Tyson remarked, “I can’t believe how much body positivity I’ve experienced in just two months.” Tyson has been using Twitter to keep friends and family updated on their recovery by providing before and after images of themselves. They even went so far as to express their happiness at having others take an interest in their story.
Because of their tweet, “I’m truly thrilled so many people are discovering what HRT is and how it CAN and HAS benefitted so many people,” they added. I’ve always been very secretive about this, so coming out in the open about it was terrifying. Nevertheless, hearing people talk about similar experiences because of me is incredibly rewarding.
Tyson elaborated, saying, “That makes everything so worth it.” I can’t wait for more discussions like this with you guys. In 2020, Tyson came out as bis*xual to the public. They said they first attempted coming out when they were 16 but “got a lot of negative response from friends/family.

If your existing social group doesn’t love and support you, take comfort in knowing that Tyson and his fans will always have your back. I’d want to write more about my coming-out story eventually, but I’m keeping it to myself for now. I can no longer be silent about it.
