Officials said Friday that the death of a Texas mom whose body was found in a shopping mall parking lot earlier this summer was ruled accidental and the case was closed.

A Bexar County Medical Examiner’s representative told Fox News Digital that Christina Lee Powell, 39, who prompted a manhunt after she went missing in San Antonio in July, died of hyperthermia with alcohol-related complications.

A security officer discovered the terrible finding after her SUV had been sitting in the same spot at the mall for approximately a week, barely four miles from her house in Red Hill Place.

San Antonio Police reported Thursday that they had ended the investigation into Powell’s death since there were no signs of injuries to his body.

“We did not find any evidence leading to a criminal investigation,” a spokesperson for the department said.

Powell, a mother of two boys ages 3 and 12, was last seen on July 5 rushing to work by a doorbell camera. According to investigators, a guard found her dead body after detecting a “foul odor” from the car.
