It’s a sad day for fans of Dancing With the Stars. Emma Slater and Sasha Farber, the professional dancer couple who got a lot of attention for their amazing dance moves and cute relationship, are said to have broken up.
In 2010, both Emma and Sasha became members of the DWTS dance crew. They began dating in 2011, and both officially became experts in 2012. During the Cirque du Soleil-themed episode of DWTS Season 23, they got engaged live on air. However, their time together has now come to an end.
Why Did Emma Slater and Sasha Farber Break Up?
The split was first reported by Us Weekly on August 24. Neither Emma nor Sasha have addressed the press as of yet. Sources say the couple hasn’t filed for divorce just yet, and that it’s not clear what led to the split.
However, a source close to the couple said they broke up recently. “They’ve been apart for many months now,” the person with insider info said. “They both have not been wearing their wedding rings and are each leading a single life.”
The European travel photos from Emma’s recent Instagram posts are the most up-to-date. She vacationed at the Blue Lagoon in Iceland and traveled to Monte Carlo, Monaco, and Antibes, France. While this has been going on, Sasha has been spending her time lounging by the pool and at the beach.
After about seven years together, Emma and Sasha tied the knot on March 25, 2018. The Los Angeles couple exchanged vows at the Bella Blanca Event Center. Images from their wedding at the Houdini Estate in the Hollywood Hills were published in The Knot.
“We had the best day,” Emma told the outlet. “Everybody says that, but nobody can prepare you for the experience of getting married.” After the wedding, the pair flew out to Mexico for a romantic honeymoon.
It was in 2009 on the set of the Broadway production of Burn the Floor that Emma and Sasha first met. A year later, they were both DWTS members. Since they began dating in 2011, they have rarely spent time apart. They are one of the most well-known couples on Dancing With the Stars because of the attention the media has paid to their professional dancing and to their personal lives.
At this point, nobody knows what will happen to the stars in Season 31. If true, Sasha’s comments about wanting Becky G to join the cast confirm that he will be making an appearance in Season 31. He and Emma both participated in the DWTS Live Tour 2022, which suggests they may continue to make appearances on the show despite the rumors of a breakup.
In addition to Emma and Sasha, there are a number of professional dancers from DWTS who have recently tied the knot. The first meeting in 2009 at the Broadway production of Burn the Floor, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, and Peta Murgatroyd have been a dancing couple ever since.
