Eva the Owlet is a new animated kid and family show based on the Owl Diaries books by award-winning author Rebecca Elliott, which are best-sellers at Scholastic and on the New York Times bestseller list. Apple TV+ recently ordered a full season of the show. Since it was first published, Owl Diaries has been translated into eight other languages and printed in three million copies.
Eva the Owlet is being made by Scholastic Entertainment, and Brown Bag Films is making the animation for it. It also has songs written by Fitz of Fitz and the Tantrums, who is a well-known musician, singer, and songwriter.
Eva is a creative, naughty owlet who lives next door to her best friend Lucy in the woodsy world of Treetopington. She is the main character of the show. Eva goes on high-flying adventures and writes about them in her journal. She has big ideas and an even bigger personality, so she has a lot to say.
Eva the Owlet is the newest show in the Apple TV+ kids’ changemakers initiative. This program brings together world-famous education leaders and the world’s best storytellers to make original shows for kids that are inspiring and educational. Through Apple’s original series like Stillwater, Hello, Jack: The Kindness Show, Pretzel, and the Puppies, and many more, the initiative helps kids develop their creativity, self-confidence, and ability to think critically.
