Highschool of the Dead is a Japanese manga series, written by Daisuke Sato and illustrated by Shoji Sato. Season 1 aired in September 2006 which continued till May 2013. Highschool of the Dead is also known as ‘Apocalyptic Academy’ which is almost a complete horror and supernatural thriller anime series based on the manga of the same name. The manga is still incomplete because of the death of the writer Daisuke Sato. Highschool of the Dead is a combination of 12 episodes, produced by Madhouse and covered only 4 volumes out of seven.
