The Trump family released a statement saying, “Our mother was an incredible woman — a force in business, a world-class athlete, a radiant beauty, and a caring mother and friend.”
Ivana Trump Dies At 73
“Ivana Trump was a survivor. She fled from communism and embraced this country. She taught her children about grit, toughness, compassion, and determination,” the family said. “She will be dearly missed by her mother, her three children, and ten grandchildren.”
Eric Trump told reporters, “It’s been a very sad day,” as he left his mother’s apartment building on Thursday.
As reported by the FDNY, at around 12:30 on Thursday afternoon, paramedics in Manhattan responded to a call about a woman in cardiac arrest and found the 73-year-old resident of the Upper East Side apartment where Ivana Trump once resided. The NYPD reported that she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Reports from police say that Ivana Trump was discovered unresponsive at the bottom of her apartment’s stairs. According to the sources, the police are trying to determine if she fell and, if so if the fall played a role in her death. The police have said that a medical examiner will determine the woman’s cause of death.
The former president paid tribute to Ivana on his website, Truth Social, writing that she was “a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life.”
