According to Kaling’s tweet, the show has been renewed for a fourth season, which will be the show’s final season.  Until now, the most exciting news about Never Have I Ever Season 3 has come from the tweets on the show’s Twitter account. On Jan. 20, 2022, Deadline reported that 9-1-1 actor Anirudh Pisharody had landed a recurring role as Des, described by the outlet as “an Indian-American teen who’s as smart as Devi but attends an elite private school.”

It’s possible that Devi’s relationships with these two men are extremely different, and that she may go either way. It all boils down to the other stories the writers want to tell in the meanwhile. When it comes to teen dramas, everyone is already in their late teens or early twenties. The love triangle is going to be a big deal for the rest of the series.  Fisher confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that Devi’s family members will play a bigger role in Season 3.

It’ll be incredibly nice to see Devi in a true relationship because we technically never really had. Dr. Ryan and Eleanor say, ‘That doesn’t count,’ because it was a two-timing circumstance. That’s a fabrication. She is single and has never had a boyfriend. So it’ll be nice to watch her with a girlfriend—that first romantic relationship in her life. Even though Paxton may not realize it, we feel that recognizing what Devi means to him makes him appreciate her even more.
