According to fresh rumors, Nvidia could release a mobile version of its powerful RTX 3080 Ti GPU in the early months of 2022 and if it hits the markets then most probably it will be giving gaming laptops a massive boost in the coming scenario.
The most recent rumors come up from the release of AIDA64 which is diagnostic and benchmarking software. FinalWire, which is the firm behind the tool, revealed that the new 6.60 version of AIDA64 includes support for Intel’s latest Alder Lake CPUs as well as the company’s future Raptor Lake processors on the product’s website.
Considering all these rumors and specifications, game lovers are very excited to know every function of the rumored RTX 3080. Although, in the below section we have mentioned every specification of the software, so keep reading further so that you do not miss what you are fond of.
The company behind the latest version of the tool confirms that the latest version also works with “GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop” computers and the fact that Nvidia has yet to announce an RTX 3080 Ti laptop GPU is interesting. It is being speculated that the company might reveal the features of the upcoming Ti laptop in the upcoming software summit.
Nvidia’s Specifications
As of now, Nvidia has not confirmed the existence of the RTX 3080 Ti laptop GPU whereas it is becoming highly probable. For the past few months, a continuous stream of RTX 3080 Ti laptop rumors has been circulating on various media platforms.
Benchmark leaks, references found in various lists, and even leaks from laptop makers have all been revealed. This latest leak only adds to the fuel claimed by the developers and confirms our speculations that RTX 3080 Ti gaming laptops are on the way for the customers.
It is also reasonable that Nvidia’s laptop GPUs are now limited to the RTX 3080, while its desktop GPUs include the RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3090. Nvidia might provide a significant upgrade to gaming laptops by introducing the RTX 3080 Ti to laptops.
Not only that but it will give buyers more options because RTX 3080 gaming laptops are now in great demand, so an inflow of new RTX 3080 Ti-equipped laptops should give them more choices.
While FinalWire’s inclusion of GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop devices could just be a misunderstanding because this is not a team that publishes misleading material in the heat of the moment.
Powerful Gaming Laptops
As a result, it appears like RTX 3080 Ti-powered gaming laptops are on the way. The speculations have been building, and something may be revealed at CES 2022. This is a massive tech showcase held every year in Las Vegas but this year’s event was canceled due to Covid-19 and it attracts the greatest names in the industry, including Nvidia.
Considering all these facts we can safely assume that this would be an excellent time to debut a new mobile GPU as well as new gaming laptops equipped with the technology. Because all of the major laptop manufacturers will be present where it makes sense to introduce it during CES 2022.
Fortunately, we will not have to wait long, as the event will begin on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, with press conferences from select firms beginning on January 3.
Rumored Features of the Upcoming Laptop
The new GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU is expected to offer
- 16GB of GDDR6 memory clocked at 16Gbps up from the RTX 3080 Laptop
- GPU’s 8GB/16GB GDDR6 memory clocked at 14Gbps.
- The TGP of the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU is expected to be increased to 175W by NVIDIA
- 10W more than the RTX 3080 Laptop GPU.
With many features already revealed ahead of CES 2022, we could see AIBs building custom gaming laptop solutions with NVIDIA’s new flagship GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU inside.
But there is one thing to keep in mind that the maximum TGP is not some fixed 175W limit because laptop makers may be able to push it higher. However, we will learn more about that shortly.
The new GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU from NVIDIA will be available with only 8GB of GDDR6 memory and a maximum TGP of 150W. Next week at CES 2022, the entire features, specifications, pricing, and specialized gaming laptops should all be revealed.
