Percy Jackson Show Trailer
Disney has released a teaser trailer for the show even though filming is still in progress. Fans of the books went crazy after seeing the trailer during September’s D23 event and hearing Scobell, in character as Percy, deliver the first lines of the novel in a voiceover.
The teaser also features the characters in the now-iconic orange Camp Half-blood t-shirts and gives viewers their first glimpse of the camp itself. Several cabins can be seen in the backdrop as Percy makes his way through the camp.
The Half-Bloods are separated by parentage into the many cabins named after Greek gods. Percy is making his way to the last blue cabin, which serves as the children of Poseidon’s home.
On July 14, 2023, a new series poster was also released:

Percy Jackson Show Plot
The Percy Jackson series on television is based on the young adult novels written by Rick Riordan. This suggests that we have a good idea of the nature of the show. Spoilers and mythical shenanigans lie ahead.
In a now-deleted Tweet, Riordan announced (via Deadline) that the first season of the Percy Jackson TV show will be based on the plot of the first book in his bestselling franchise, The Lightning Thief.
“We are very excited about the idea of a live-action series of the highest quality,” the writer posted. “Following the storyline of the original Percy Jackson five-book series, starting with The Lightning Thief in season one.”
Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, which introduced us to the world of the Greek gods and their children in Camp Half-Blood, was first published in 2005. This may come as news to those who aren’t avid readers. Percy Jackson, a 12-year-old boy, is one of the kids who finds out he is the son of Poseidon.
Percy, with the help of his pals Annabeth and Grover, must confront his destiny after encountering hellhounds, minitours, and overall peril. The three of them go out on their first adventure together to stop the evil titan Kronos and save humanity.
In The Lightning Thief, readers are introduced to the pantheon of demi-gods, their home of Camp Half-Blood, and the protagonists of the series, Percy, Annabeth, and Grover. Like the book, we anticipate that the first season of the TV show will have both exciting action sequences and extensive world-building.
If the program is faithful to the novels, the first few episodes will focus on Percy’s mission to recover Zeus’ master lightning bolt, the theft of which has caused tension among the gods.
If this plot turns out to be the main focus of the first season, as seems likely, then the young demi-gods will have to travel all over the United States and possibly even the underworld in order to retrieve Zeus’s property and restore Olympus.
