Taika Waititi is a name you’ll hear a lot in the entertainment news these days, and with good reason: he’s fast-rising to become one of the most well-known directors working today, with a plethora of critically praised films already under his belt.

Reservation Dogs is a TV show about four Indigenous teenagers named Elora Danan Postoak (played by Devery Jacobs), Bear Smallhill (played by D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai), Cheese (played by Lane Factor), and Willie Jack (played by Paulina Alexis), who live on a reservation in rural Oklahoma and call themselves the Rez Dogs.

A cross-country move for the Rez Dogs means doing whatever it takes to raise the funds necessary, and they end up getting themselves into a lot of trouble in the process.

In an interview with TVLine, Woon-A-Tai talked about the possibility of his character hearing from his father in the forthcoming season. “I’m sure we’ll be able to. Is it feasible that Punkin will visit Oklahoma?

The second season continues off where the first left off, with the wannabe criminal gangs of youths having disbanded, with Elora (Jacobs) having taken off for California with Jackie (Elva Guerra), the gang’s greatest nemesis.

In the wake of being ghosted, Bear (Woon-A-Tai) makes some questionable choices about his role models, while Willie Jack (Alexis) is adamant about reversing the consequences of a curse she set on Jackie, believing it now affects the entire town.

His overall arrangement with FX involves the production of Reservation Dogs and an untitled heist series with novelist Jonathan Lee, both of which will be developed with Lee.
