Heartland Actor Robert Cormier Dead At 33 From ‘Injuries Suffered In A Fall’

Actor Robert Cormier, 33, passed away on September 23 from injuries sustained in a fall, according to his family.

“Rob’s memory will live on via his enthusiasm for art and movies,” his family wrote in an obituary for the Heartland and American God actor. The obituary didn’t specify what caused the death, but his sister told that he had fallen.

After hearing of Cormier’s passing, the American network UPtv released a statement calling the actor “an amazing talent, gone too soon.”

“We are deeply saddened to learn of his passing. Our sincere condolences go out to his friends, family, and co-workers,” the statement read.

The Heartland Instagram account also shared their sadness at the news of Cormier’s death with a post reading, “‘We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Robert Cormier.”

“He was a beloved member of the Heartland cast the last two seasons.

“On behalf of the Heartland cast and crew, our thoughts are with him and his family, who have asked for privacy during this difficult time.”

In the 15th season, Cormier made his debut as Finn Cotter, a potential romantic interest for Amy (Amber Mitchell).

The actor hinted that he was reprising his part by posting an Instagram photo of himself in front of a stack of scripts for Season 16 of Heartland. Posted on August 30, Cormier wrote at the time: “Gettin at it😏🐴🍁 #Heartland #finncotter.”

The actor “is survived by his parents Robert and Lisa, his sisters Brittany (Derek), Krystal, and Stephanie, his grandmother Joanne, and aunts, uncles, and cousins,” according to the obituary released online by his family.

“Robert is predeceased by his grandfather Bobby, as well as his grandparents Connie and Keith. Robert was an athlete, an actor, and a great brother,” reads the rest of the obituary.

“He had a passion for helping others and was always looking to achieve more. He enjoyed movie nights with his family, and looked up greatly to his father,” the statement went on.

“He impacted many people throughout his life whether it was family, teammates, and friends. Rob’s memory will live on through his passion for art and film; as well as his three sisters who meant the world to him.”
