However, before starting her weight loss quest, the TV host had to evaluate the underlying causes of her chronic health problems. Underwood said she began her road to better health and fitness by focusing on her digestive system.

She had to lose weight on top of managing her diabetes, high blood pressure, and “all the other things women deal with.”

Sheryl Underwood revealed further details about her weight loss program. She started her adventure after her doctor diagnosed her with pre-d!abetes and hypertension at a weight of 230 to 250 pounds.

Sheryl also shared that she had been planning on having bariatric su*gery but changed her mind and is now using Wegovy injections instead.

Sheryl Underwood attempted to limit her food intake and alter her routine in addition to receiving the injection. She explained that she had intended to seek surgical intervention but changed her mind because she realized she would have “to go through the psychiatrist” and dietitian afterward.

She credits her weight loss to the efforts of her nutritionist. It wasn’t a huge amount, she claimed, but enough that “insurance was not going to pay for it.”

She also made other healthy lifestyle modifications, such as increasing her sleep time, water consumption, and meal variety. Underwood claimed that she began eating more fiber-rich foods, including green, leafy vegetables and fruits like blueberries and strawberries, as well as taking fiber supplements.
