Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner Welcomed Their Daughter
On May 2, 2022, at the 2022 Met Gala, the Game of Thrones star proudly displayed her growing baby bump and announced that she was expecting her second child. A few days later, she confirmed the news in an interview with Elle U.K.
“It’s what life is about for me—raising the next generation,” Turner said at the time. “The greatest thing in life is seeing my daughter go from strength to strength. We’re so excited to be expanding the family. It’s the best blessing ever.”
Turner and Jonas wed in 2019 in a unique Las Vegas ceremony before moving on to a more conventional affair in France. All three members of the Jonas Brothers are now proud fathers of daughters, thanks to Nick and Priyanka’s surrogate pregnancy and the birth of their daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas.
Sophie Turner said having children has made her a better actor before the Met Gala. On the Unwrapped podcast, she described how her empathy and feelings for her family had increased to the point of overflowing. “Becoming a mother has made me a better actor,” she said.
She continued, “The concept of family has made me an entirely much more emotional person. You know how you see your parents, as they get older, become way more sensitive? Like, I’ve never seen my dad cry, and now I see him cry all the time. I feel like that.”
