Since the IRS won’t be sending any more stimulus checks to people across the country in October, three states are stepping in to help their residents financially. According to reports, states with budget surpluses have prioritized giving back to their citizens by disbursing stimulus funds or inflation relief funds.
More Stimulus Checks Are On The Way In October
Along with Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Maine, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania, California, Hawaii, and Virginia have given stimulus rebates or inflation relief to their populations.
Between October 2022 and January 2023, all qualified California citizens will receive a one-time payment known as the Middle-Class Tax Refund.
Between October 25 and December 10, MCTR debit cards will be sent out in the mail. In October 2022, roughly 90% of direct deposits are expected to be made, and by the end of the year, 95% of all refunds are expected to be made. Up to $1,050 is available to married couples whose adjusted gross income doesn’t exceed $150,000. While those who file as singles may be eligible for up to $700.
A single payment is made to eligible taxpayers under Hawaii’s Act 115 refund program.
When filing as a single person, you’ll get $300 if your income is less than $100,000, and $100 if it’s $100,000 or above. Couples can receive $300 if their joint income is less than $200,000 and they file as married. Starting in September and continuing through November, refunds will be distributed in the order in which individual tax returns were submitted in 2021.
I think this is the last stimulus checks Americans will get for a while
Assuming reopening moves forward 100% in the months ahead
They’re probably going to target the next checks in early 2022 and in October 2022, prior to election season

Virginia is expected to give $250 one-time tax rebates to single filers and $500 to joint filers who owed taxes in 2021. If you submitted your taxes by September 5, you can receive your refund as late as October 31. Checks will be sent either electronically or physically to the recipients.
