Stephanie started working as a stripper when she was 17 years old and began using the stage name Stormy Daniels. She chose “Stormy” because a member of the band Mötley Crüe named his daughter Storm, and “Daniels” from a Jack Daniel’s whiskey advertisement.
She worked at the Gold Club in Baton Rouge and then became a featured entertainer for the Continental Theatrical Agency in September 2000. During this time, she met adult film actress Devon Michaels, who invited her to Los Angeles for film shoots with Sin City and Wicked Pictures.
