In a recent wedding, Taylor Swift’s longtime friend Abigail Anderson (referenced in the song “Fifteen”) married Charles Berard. The bride, dressed in a white off-the-shoulder gown with signature red curls styled in an updo, said her vows to her fiance while wearing her hair in an updo.
Danae Hays, a popular TikToker, and the musician performed for the happy couple during their first dance after the ceremony. It is unclear whether pop diva Taylor Swift attended Abigail’s 2017 wedding to photographer Matt Lucier, despite her being a bridesmaid during the ceremony.
They tied the knot ten months after Abigail first announced she was engaged. In a November 2021 Instagram post, Abigail described Charles as “my man, my life” in an Instagram post from November 2021 where she shared images of their romantic proposal at dusk on top of a cliff. At the time, she also said, “This happiness.”
Swifties know that Abigail has been one of Taylor’s closest confidantes and pals for a long time. Taylor’s 2008 smash single “Fifteen” even references her as the “redhead” Taylor sat next to on the first day of class.
“And before you know it, you’re best buddies,” Taylor sang. They make fun of one another and think they are much more relaxed than the other females. Abigail has been a consistent member of Taylor’s crew since that fateful meeting.
Abigail, Gigi Hadid, and Martha Hunt were just a few of the A-listers that celebrated Taylor’s 30th birthday with her in New York City. On December 15, she shared a picture from the party on Instagram with the caption, “Thir-tay never looked so good,” and the caption, “We jingled ALL the way.”
The same year Lover was released, Abigail was praised for Taylor’s seventh studio album. Abigail shared an Instagram of the album’s cover on August 23.“Fifteen years of knowing you and watching you grow, @taylorswift. Congrats, buddy.”
