The Witcher Season 2 is all set to unveil the story this year only. Finally, we have the confirmation of season 2, which is coming in the fourth quarter somewhere around October/ November of 2021. Undoubtedly, Netflix planned to bring back the amazing and big hits like Money Heist, Sex Education, The Witcher in the last quarter, so we have to tie our seat belts to get into the world of excitement. This fantasy drama series created by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, based on the best-selling book series of the same name. This fictional drama follows the story of Witcher, based on the medieval landmass, that projects the legend of Geralt of Rivia and Crown Princess Ciri, who are linked by destiny. We enjoyed season 1 a lot, due to covid-19, Season 2 faced setbacks but fortunately, the show managed to wrap up filming in April 2021 and now it’s working on post-production. Release Date- Is the date out?
For now, the date is not revealed but the confirmation of season 2 is already done. We will have the next part in Q4 of 2021 probably in October/ November. There were speculations that Geeked Week would disclose the trailer or release date but it only presented the short clip of Ciri. The first season of the show was released on Netflix on December 20, 2019. Followed by 8 episodes. We could have eight episodes in the next season as well.
As we know that a concrete date is not specified but we have a WitcherCon fest that is announced and we could get the trailer or release date on July 9, 2021. The creator of the show, Hissrich announced that they’re “deep into post-production” on season 2, which reflects the story is all set to enthrall us and take the exciting turns again. We will update you when any official statement comes out.

In season 2 we will get additional faces in the cast, some new names in the list as there was an article revealed, which states “Welcome to the Continent- season 2 Casting” the names are-

The previous cast is all set to return -Henry Cavill as Geralt, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, Freya Allan as Ciri and many more. The cast list for the show has been revealed by Netflix, So we are sure that, the cast of season two will be a blend of old characters from the star characters of season 1 and new faces with different roles. Hopefully, we will soon get the chance to meet our favorite characters.
Synopsis – What will be the story?
As we know that the story is based on the book, the readers know that it will continue the story from where it is left. Netflix released a mini teaser- Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Ciri to the safest place according to him, i.e. his childhood home, we will see that she is protected from dangerous incidents. According to the statement of Hissrich, the story will get into the past of Geralt.
Some shots were clicked by Redanian Intelligence during the filming of Season 2, which provides clues of the Wild Hunt. It is true that Ciri will take the center of attraction. Season one concluded, Geralt thinking that Yennefer died at the Battle of Sodden, the White Wolf takes his magical charge to the childhood haunt of Kaer Morhen.
The Witcher season 2 is going to be a simpler plot. Hissrich also confirmed that Geralt, Ciri, and Yennefer exist in the same zones, hence the stories of the three will be projected simultaneously.

The trailer for season two is not yet, but we can have a glimpse from two brief clips released. The first teaser runs for just 12 seconds, which projects that focus is very much on Ciri played by Freya Allan. The new The Witcher season 2 teaser hints that the story will continue from where it left when Ciri finally made contact with Geralt of Rivia
Apart from this, many teaser images are revealed to create more curiosity and to excite the followers.
