Tiger Woods Has “awesome” Time in First Round of Pnc Championship

Tiger Woods is back on the golf course for the first time since his leg was broken in a car accident in February. This weekend, Woods would be competing in the $1 million PNC Championship with his 12-year-old son, Charlie, at the Ritz Carlton Golf Club Orlando in Grande Lakes of Florida.

The tournament is 36 holes and two-person competition that combines champions with family members. On Saturday with the first round of 10-under 62, Woods and Charlie lead clubhouse leaders Stewart and Reagan Cink by three shots after the first day of the tournament.

On the opening hole, the two, who are known for their similar characteristics from their swing to their celebration, made a final hole that was a one-shot hole.

Tiger Woods to Play PNC Championship With Broken Bones

Even though it has been a long and tough year for him, he is looking forward to finishing more games by competing in the PNC Championship with his son Charlie Woods announced on Twitter.

He will be playing as a father for the first time and he is delighted. As he witnessed a large crowd surrounding him and cheering him on and welcoming him back after he was severely injured in February when the Genesis SUV he was driving went off the road and received several injuries.

First Round of Pnc Championship

Woods and Charlie spent the day on the golf course on Friday while preparing for the tournament. It was a fantastic day Woods told reporters on Friday. It was wonderful to be out here playing and spending time with my son and we had a great day as felt by both of them.

The Champion is Lagging in Stamina but not in Abilities

Woods, who has won 82 PGA Tour titles including 15 majors, revealed that he still has the hands and feel for the game but stamina has been his biggest difficulty since the accident that left him with multiple fractures in his right leg.

Unfortunately, this year has been quite difficult for him and he has not been able to play at all till now which is probably his second or third round. It has been a long year to say the very least.

On Friday, Woods used a golf cart to travel around the course which is something that no golfer on the PGA Tour is permitted to do but still a long way from competing in golf tournaments Woods remarked. After three months in bed, the golf legend said he worked every day to get back on the golf course and now he would be competing with his son.

No More Real Action on Course

He would be playing the tour one day but never full time, ever again, Woods told journalist Henni Koyack but picking and choosing, exactly like Mr. Ben Hogan did as Woods told interviewer Henni Koyack. You pick a few events a year and play around with them.

You prepare yourself for it by practicing around it. You, on the other hand, are having fun. That is probably how Tiger Woods will have to play it from now on.

Last year, the Woods duo finished seventh, and Charlie led the way today, particularly on the back nine, when the duo birdied three consecutive holes. After winning last year, Justin Thomas and his father Mike are attempting to become the fourth duo to successfully defend the PNC Championship title.
