Savannah expressed her gratitude to her followers and asked for privacy in her Instagram post.

Tommy Smith Died Of Unknown Causes

She wrote, alongside a photo of the father and daughter, “Our hearts are incredibly heavy as we process the loss of Everleigh’s dad, Tommy.”

“He loved Everleigh immensely. As we navigate through this difficult time we kindly ask for privacy so that our family may continue to love on Ev, pray and grieve with her.

“Your prayers for Everleigh are so very appreciated.”

On Tuesday, Tommy’s sister, Amber, also took to Facebook to announce her brother’s passing, writing that Tommy “gained his wings unexpectedly” on September 9.

“His love of living life to the absolute fullest along with his free spirit will be missed immensely,” Amber added.

There has been no announcement of the official cause of death. According to his Instagram, Tommy recently went to Michigan to see his relatives. Courtney Santaella, who he was reportedly dating, posted a heartfelt tribute to Tommy on Instagram, writing that her “heart is broken into a million pieces” after hearing the news.

‘I feel numb and can’t think of words to say other than I wish this was a horrible nightmare,’ Courtney wrote.

“What I do know for sure is that I would not be the woman I am today without you. You taught me so much and I am forever thankful that you came into my life and that we were able to make so many amazing memories together.

“I will cherish those and hold them so tightly to my heart for the rest of my life. I know you’re dancing and cracking jokes in heaven now. You will forever hold a special place in my heart.

“Tommy, I love you.”

Savannah was only 19 when she got pregnant with Everleigh. She claimed Tommy had cheated on her several times in a 2018 People interview. She and her mother, she told the media outlet, brought up Everleigh.

Savannah, who is now married to her co-author Cole, expressed her fear of becoming a mother in the book they wrote together.

“Tommy, however, seemed oddly excited about it,” Savannah wrote in Cole & Sav: Our Surprising Love Story.

“He even talked about us getting married. My parents never would have gone for that because they were not overly fond of Tommy. Telling my parents I was pregnant with his child was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do.”

Savannah continues to describe her love life with Tommy, writing, “Around my sixth month of pregnancy, I learned Tommy, who had been eager to get married when he found out I was pregnant, was now cheating on me.”

“I was done, I thought.

“Even though I broke up with him, we reconciled after the birth of our daughter, Everleigh.”

Savannah wrote that she let herself believe Tommy’s promise that he had changed “because I felt like I had to do everything I could to try to make a relationship with Tommy work for the sake of our daughter.”

Unfortunately, she found out that Tommy hadn’t changed and abandoned the family again just weeks after giving birth to Everleigh.

Savannah also tells about Tommy’s relationship with alcohol, saying he “drank a lot.”

Savannah wrote, “Then things changed in a way that made me really uncomfortable, and I decided I couldn’t be around that, and for sure I didn’t want my baby around that,” without specifying what had changed.

“But then he’d show up and swear to me that he was done with all of that and that he’d changed and everything was going to be different.

“And I’d believe him, only to get hurt again. And again. And again.”
