Valorant Champions 2022 Format, Schedule, Participants and All Recent Updates

The Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) is returning in 2022 for a second go-around, hoping to expand on the initial success.

Changes to the Challengers structure, the addition of “offseason” events hosted by third-party organizers, and more have all been announced for 2022, including the introduction of national leagues.

All you need to know about VCT 2022 is contained in this detailed reference.

Format for the Valorant Champions Tour 2022

Although the VCT format will undergo several changes in 2022, the underlying principle remains the same. Before the year’s final Champions tournament, there will be a Challengers stage in each area where the top teams will compete in an international LAN competition.

A two-stage Champions event currently scheduled for September will replace this year’s usual three stages of Challengers and Masters events before the finals in December. Third-party organizers will offer “offseason series and events” in the last months of the year.

Additionally, the primary events for each stage of the Challengers are being updated. There will be just one open qualification for each Challenger level, leading to a seven-week main tournament with five rounds of round-robin play concluding in a double-elimination bracket to determine who will advance to the Masters. The first-place finisher in Masters Two will be guaranteed a spot in the Champions tournament.

Each of these eight regions has its own league, which includes Spain, France, Turkey, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), the German-speaking countries of Austria and Switzerland as well as the rest of the European Union (EU). A promotion tournament with two Challengers Two berths up for grabs is held for the league’s season champions.

Game Changers, a supplement to the VCT, will return in 2022. The three series will have open qualifiers and double-elimination brackets, just like in 2021. For the first time ever, the Game Changers Championship will be held outside of North America.

Recent News of Valorant

Riot Games is set to release Valorant Episode 4, Act III. The next season of Valorant will premiere on April 27 at 2 p.m. BST. Update 4.08, which includes a new character and Battlepass, is available at the same time as the start of the new season. With so many new items included in the Battlepass’s prizes, it goes without saying that players will be able to obtain the SYS Vandal, SYS Axe, and Hue Shift Phantom. Details and early patch notes are available below.

Fade, like his fellow scout Sova, is a Turkish operative skilled at tracking down his adversaries’ movements. Her greatest strength is her capacity to learn new things quickly. Players in Haunt can hurl an orb that pinpoints the location of any enemies trapped in its path.

Additionally, Fade has a Prowler creature ability that identifies enemy agents and momentarily impairs their vision, making them more vulnerable. With her Seize ability, Fade can also briefly immobilise her foes.

This battle pass, however, will cost 1,000 VP and come with an additional free version for those who don’t want to shell out for the full version. Items that are included in the game for free include Ragna-Rock Out Buddy and Look Behind You Spray.

Producer Laura Baltzer says the creators aimed to make a series of skins that would be liked by a wide range of people. “The.SYS line will be familiar to players who have been with us since the beginning.

A Vandal, Bucky, Stinger, and a Melee are all part of this line’s cast. The Coalition: Cobra is our alternative skin line for this pass, which has a more grounded appearance and feel. As a final option for those who can’t decide between a pink or blue weapon, Hue Shift is available.
