President Biden and President Lopez Obrador Joint Statement 

The United States and Mexico say that we will continue to work together in a wide range of ways and are committed to making a more prosperous and safe future for the people of North America.  

As we face global and regional problems that have never been seen before and that require both of our countries to work together 

This includes fully upholding its labor provisions and working actively with stakeholders in the private sector and civil society.  

Together, the United States, Mexico, and Canada are a major economic force. The United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement is the foundation of North American competitiveness, and we reaffirm our commitment to its full implementation for the benefit of working families. 

By working together to coordinate our economic policies, we can make our supply chains more stable and grow production in North America. 

We hope to work on this and other important issues at the 10th North American Leaders Summit (NALS), which will be held in Mexico at the end of the year. 

Families in both of our countries are hurt by rising prices, so we need to take strong, immediate, and coordinated action.
