Sarah was born in London on July 18, 1992. She was born into the Bishopbriggs family and received the surname “Bishop Briggs.” When she was four, she and her family relocated to Tokyo, where her parents saw her perform for the first time and realized what she wanted to do with her life.

She began writing and performing songs for her family when she was seven. She went to school in Hong Kong, where she remained until she became 18. She’s a part of talent events at her school. The Musician Institute in Los Angeles welcomed her after she finished her master’s degree at Hong Kong International School.

She began a career as a songwriter after relocating to Los Angeles, and in 2015 she published her first single, “Wild Horses.” But thanks to Shazam, her stardom skyrockets. Her song went global after being included in an Acura advertisement. It even reached the top 30 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart.

The 2016 release of her follow-up song, “River,” was also a big success. This was her third single, titled “The Way I Do.” On their tour, she performed the opening act, Kaleo, and the main act, Coldplay. In 2016, she also appeared on Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show.

Her next release after 2014’s “Pray” is “Be Your Love.” In 2017, Bishop also appeared at Coachella and the Panorama Festival. Her song “Mercy” is on the soundtrack for xXx: Return of Xander Cage, marking her return to the music scene.

Her first studio album, Church of Scars, was out in 2018. Her next album, named Champion, came out in November 2019.
