After almost seven years of marriage, the 35-year-old former star of “The Vampire Diaries” filed for a divorce from her husband, 41-year-old The Fray guitarist Joe King, on April 29.
People got papers from Accola that said they were splitting up in January and that there were “irreconcilable differences” between them. People asked Accola for comments, but they didn’t get back to us.
Since then, she has moved to Nashville, and King now lives in Brentwood, Tennessee.

King asked her to marry him in May 2013, a year after they met at a Super Bowl party. Their friend and co-star on The Vampire Diaries, Nina Dobrev, set them up.
“I was too scared to give him my number, so Nina did,” Accola told PEOPLE in June 2013 about their first meeting.
In 2014, they got married in New Orleans with a French Quarter theme.
In January 2016, Accola and King’s daughter, Florence, came into the world. King’s first wife gave him two daughters, Ava and Elisa.
Fans started to think that Accola and King had broken up earlier this year when they both deleted all posts about each other from their social media pages. It was also noticed that Accola wasn’t wearing her ring. The two still follow each other, though.
Accola has been writing about her trips with friends through Europe for the past week. They have been to places like Tuscany, Italy, and Liverpool, England.
