Shonka Dukureh, Singer and ‘Elvis’ Actress, Dead at 44

Police in Nashville confirmed on Thursday that the singer and actress Shonka Dukureh, who played Willie Mae “Big Mama” Thornton in the new Baz Luhrmann film “Elvis,” had passed away.
