Originally, the series was supposed to be a limited series. However, given the response of the viewers, the makers decided to make it an anthology series. Eventually, the makers renewed the series for the next installment even before the premiere of the finale episode of The White Lotus.
The six episodes anthology series focuses on six people Murray Bartlett, Connie Britton, Jennifer Coolidge, Alexandra Daddario, Jake Lacy, Natasha Rothwell, and Steve Zahn, who have arrived at an exotic resort of Hawai, The White Lotus. Though everything seems perfect, some dark things begin to unveil with each passing day about the resort and its staff.

The White Lotus Season 2 Release Date
The makers have not announced the official release date of The White House Season 2 so far. Well, we do not blame the makers as it is too soon to expect any release date. The production of Season 2 has not commenced so far. However, the good news is that the location for filming season 2 is confirmed.
Filming of Season 1 began in October 2020, and it premiered in July 2011. That means the first season took almost nine months. So, we can assume that season 2 may also take around 8 to 10 months from the commencement of filming.
So, if the filming begins next month, we can have the series at the beginning of 2022.
The White Lotus Season 2 Cast
Well, the whole cast list of the series has not come out yet. But, we have a few names whom you will meet in season 2.
Mike White has already cleared that season 2 will have a whole new cast, during an interview with entertainment weekly.
According to a Deadline report, Michael Imperioli will play Dominic Di Grasso in Season 2 of The White Lotus. Dominic Di Grasso will be traveling to the resort with his father and son.
Michael Imperioli expressed his happiness by a post on Instagram with the caption “Very excited to be joining Mike White and team!”
Michael Imperioli also tagged Jennifer Coolidge, the star character of season one who is also returning for season 2, Variety reported the news.
Well, it is not clear yet if she will reprise his role of Tanya McQuoid, or take a new role.
According to a Deadline report, Aubrey Plaza is also coming on board for the new season. Aubrey will play the role of Harper Spiller, a woman who will come to The White Lotus with her husband and his friends.
The Hollywood Reporter also reported the other members who will be part of the show. In addition to the above, season 2 will include Tom Hollander, F. Murray Abraham, Haley Lu Richardson, and Adam DiMarco.
Abraham will play the role of father of Dominic, Bert Di Grasso. DiMarco will play the role of Albie Di Grasso, the son of Dominic. Richardson will play the role of Portia, who is at The White House with her boss.
Hollander will play the role of Quentin, an expatriate from the UK who will come to White Lotus with his nephew and friends.
The White Lotus Season 2 Plot/ Storyline
Well, the storylines of season 2 are still behind curtains. But, to the delight of fans, Mike White has already hinted towards the potential plot of season 2. Like season 1, season 2 will also depict the holiday of a star cast in an exotic hotel in a breathtaking location.
But, the story of season 1 will not be repeated in season 2.
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Mike White said “It would have to be a different hotel, like, say, ‘The White Lotus: St Tropez’ or something.”
The good news is that the location for the show is final, Variety reported that The White Lotus Season 2 will be filmed in Sicily, a beautiful Island in Itlay. Now, the new White Lotus for the second season at the Four Seasons San Domenico Palace in Taormina.
