Derek Chauvin, a former Minneapolis police officer on trial for the mu*der of George Floyd, paid his ex-wife, Kellie May Xiong Chauvin, $704,000 in a divorce settlement. On May 28, 2020, just three days after Chauvin was suspected of k!lling Floyd by kneeling on his neck for more than eight minutes, Kellie and Chauvin broke up. The court authorized Chauvin and Kellie to resubmit their agreement with a balance sheet detailing their respective debt loads. Inside Edition was able to obtain a copy of the divorce settlement that revealed Kellie would receive $704,000.
