Dog Movie is set to release this year featuring Channing Tatum as its co-director and main lead. The dramedy is very close to Tatum as it is a kind of tribute to his very own dog who passed away last year. We are sure the feel-good dog movie is bound to make viewers shed a tear or two as they explore every bit of the movie.
Dog Movie Release Date
Dog Movie was initially set to release back in 2021 but due to the pandemic, it has had to change its release date several times. The movie was first going to release on February 12, 2021. Then, the date got moved to July 16, 2021.

Moreover, Ambulance, a chick flick featuring stars such as Michael Bay and Elza Gonzalez will also release on the same weekend. However, we feel all the movies have a different plot and genre and this is why they are all a must-watch.
Synopsis
The movie Dog unravels the story of a US army ranger Riggs who finds himself in a difficult situation with a military dog, Belgian Malinois Lulu. Riggs is given the duty of transporting the dog across the country so that he can attend the funeral of his handler, Nuke.
The road trip is full of new experiences for Ranger Riggs as he starts the journey on the wrong foot with Belgian Malinois Lulu. But, throughout the journey Riggs figures out a way to become friends with the dog and tame him. They both begin to trust each other making the trip worthwhile for the characters as well as the viewers who fall in love with their journey.
However, we are still not sure whether Lulu will live till the end of the movie or will the dog die. But, from the looks of the trailer, it seems like the dog will survive in this dog movie. Nevertheless, viewers will still be teary-eyed from all the feel-good scenes in the movie.

Filming
Dog Movie was supposed to begin filming in mid-2020 but all of that changed when Covid19 begin to spread like wildfire bringing a pandemic along with it. Then on September 21, 2020, Channing Tatum confirmed via an Instagram post that shooting for the movie in Los Angeles had begun.
Tatum also confirmed that they were following all the strict protocols during the pandemic so that everyone is safe. Now, the filming has come to an end and the movie will be very soon released in cinemas near you.
