Marco Polo is an American drama television series which is written and directed by John Fusco. The Marco Polo series has been inspired by Marco Polo’s early years in the court of Kublai Khan. This show originally premiered on Netflix on 12th December 2014, which has been produced by The Weinstein Company.
Later on, in 2015, this series was renewed for the next installment that is season 2 which served 10 episodes, premiered on July 1st, 2016. This historical drama and adventurous series resulted in a $200 million loss for Netflix and the decision to work jointly has been canceled mutually by both Netflix and The Weinstein Company.
Marco Polo has been rated on several rating platforms like IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes, and many more. Marco Polo season one has met with few negative reviews and has failed in fulfilling the expectations of the fans out there. It has been rated 4.7 out of 10 on Rotten Tomatoes and 48 out of 100 on Metacritic.
Overall, season one has been less entertaining but season 2 has done much better than season one which met with a more positive response and touched the rating of 7.2 out of 10 on Rotten Tomatoes and 8 out of 10 on IMDb. Marco Polo Season 3: Release Date
As of now, the makers of this series have not announced any official release date for the upcoming series nor they have announced its cancellation but one thing is clear that the mega OTT platform will not be in pictures. However, the lack of any official release date does not mean that there will not be season 3.
If makers decide to make a comeback then, it is sure that Netflix will not host the series because they have mutually canceled it hence makers can approach HBO or any other platform. Marco Polo Season 3: Plot
Makers of this series have not announced the official plotline for this series and for now we do not have the plot for this as nothing is clear in case of release date and trailer as well. It is speculated that if season 3 makes a comeback then it will start from where season 2 left off.
There are expectations that this season will be more entertaining with tons of drama and adventures but this is only possible if makers revive this series for the fans but this seems quite impossible. However, we should lose hope and it might return with new stories and concepts.
