The British Historical Crime drama is created and written by Steven Knight, the beloved drama was initially aired on BBC more than eight years ago, and won the BAFTA for Best Drama in its Season 4 and later made the move to BBC One in 2019 with viewers of more than 7 million. It airs on Netflix outside the UK.

It has been nearly a year since the news came out that the series that won many awards would come to an end with its sixth and final season. With the release of the first glimpse of the sixth season of Peaky Blinders by BBC, the fans of the series across the world actually got their New Year to treat in real terms. No release date has been announced yet, although it has been scheduled to release in early 2022.
Who Is Joining the Cast of Peaky Blinders Season 6?
Many cast members are returning from previous seasons in order to reprise their roles, this includes Cillian Murphy to portray the characters of Tommy Shelby, wanting a medium for the titular Birmingham-based clan to finally rest.
Besides Murphy, the other casts such as Tom Hardy, Paul Anderson, Anya Taylor-Joy, Finn Cole, and Sophie Rundle are also returning in the sixth season. Stephen Graham would also be seen as well. Co-star Helen McCrory died in April last year. The future of her Aunt Polly is not revealed yet in the trailer released on 1st January.
Earlier, Steven Knight who has created and written the series, said about the sixth season, “Peaky is back and with a bang. After the enforced production delay due to the Covid pandemic, we find the family in extreme jeopardy and the stakes have never been higher.
We believe this will be the best series of all and are sure that our amazing fans will love it. While the TV series will be coming to an end, the story will continue in another form.”
Peaky Blinders Season 6 is also written by Knight, whereas Anthony Byrne comes back as director and he has also directed season five to great acclaim, and Nick Goding joined as producer. Caryn Mandabach, Steven Knight, David Mason, Jamie Glazebrook Anthony Byrne, and Cillian Murphy are executive producers of the sixth season.
