Featuring lots of drama, teacher-student hookups, sinister plot twists, and love affairs, Riverdale is one of the most-watched series on Netflix. It is perhaps the next Gossip Girl and deals with a bunch of high schoolers, namely Archie, Vanessa, Betty, Jughead, and Cheryl, as they experience high school life and unravel the dark secrets of their beloved town. The series has had 5 successful seasons as of yet. Now, there is talk of a sixth season. When will this new season premiere? What will be its plot? Riverdale Season 6 Release Date
Riverdale Season 6 has been confirmed for renewal for a very long time but now, the producers have given us an exact release date! The show is going to premiere this year itself on Tuesday, November 16 as per the CW’s fall launch dates announcement. Of course, Season 6 will make its debut after the release of the second part of Season 5 which will air on August 11, 2021, with a total of nine episodes. This last episode will air in September/ October after which Season 6 will be released in November.
As usual, Riverdale Season 6 will come on Netflix a bit later and will air on the famous streaming platform one week after the release of the season finale. This means that we can watch Riverdale on Netflix around May/ June 2022.

- Madelaine Petsch- Cheryl Blossom- The school’s mean girl and Queen Bee whose brother commits suicide.
- Mark Consuelos- Hiram Lodge- Veronica’s dad who is also a CEO.
- Casey Cott- Kevin Keller- Veronica’s reckless G.B.F ( gay best friend).

Plot
With season 5 still not complete, we can’t really predict what the plot of Season 6 is going to be. Obviously, Season 6 will continue from where Season 5 ends and it looks like we will have to wait for it to complete before we can make any predictions. Regardless of what happens, we are sure that Season 6 will focus more on Betty and Archie’s relationship. Fans have also been shipping Betty with Jughead and Veronica with Archie. Let’s see whether the producers agree with these fan-loved couples and somehow bring them together!
Riverdale Season 6 Trailer
Unfortunately, the producers still haven’t revealed a trailer for Riverdale Season 6. However, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, the show’s creator, gave us a tiny tease of Season 6 in his latest post. His post said “ Really excited about our next batch of episodes. They’re some of the best we’ve done. And after that, a break. And after that…,” along with a bunch of emojis including fire, tornado, alien head, and a wedding ring. His post also included a photo of the cast with everyone in it except Cole Sprouse. After his disappearance in the middle of season 5, this seems extremely suspicious! Will Jughead never come back? Or is his disappearance just temporary? Looks like we will have to wait till November to find out!
