In an interview on Thursday, Aug 19,  Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, the creator of the show, admitted that season 3 has been renewed yet. When she was asked about the future of the show, she replied that orders are still awaited and if we talk about the probability for season 3, there is enough content that it could be as long as 20 seasons. Lauren added that she is very excited about the project and wishes that it could be stretched up to 20 seasons, as there is no lack of sources of content. She said that the Witcher is in her heart, and the show will keep continuing as long as the fans demand it, and support the story.

In the interview, Lauren Schmidt Hissrich shared the fact that season 3 has not got a formal renewal as of now. So the fans have to wait for Season 3, as Netflix has not commissioned the installment yet. She also added that the primary focus of the team nowadays is on season two. As we have got the official release date. The Witcher will come with season two on December 17, 2021. Then after they will think about the continuation.
