Starz released the opening credits and release date of its most awaited tv series, Outlander Season 6, on 25 November. Let’s check out the updates.
Outlander is a fictional periodic drama full of adventure and romance. Based on Diana Gabaldon’s novel series of the same name, the show first premiered on Starz on August 9, 2014. The show revolves around a married military nurse from the second world war in Scotland who went back in time 1743 from 1945. He begins his new life in the new time zone, where he falls in love with Jamie Fraser, a warrior.
So far, the showrunners have produced five blockbuster seasons, and the sixth one is on the way.
All the seasons of the series are based on different books of the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. The show has gained immense popularity since its inception. Consequently, the creators have already renewed the series for the sixth and the seventh installment.
The sixth season will be based on the book A Breath of Snow and Ashes, and the seventh one will be based on An Echo in the Bone.

Outlander Season 6 Opening Credit Titles
Starz has premiered the opening credit scene for season 6. Well, the franchise has continued with its Skye Boat Song, a classic and Folk song. However, this time, the song also has a male voice.
The clip shows the sharp look of Jamie and Claire Fraser. They seem to be happy and living a peaceful life. However, it is the peace before the thunderstorm, that is coming as an American civil war.

Outlander Season 6 Release Date
Outlander Season 6 is finally has a release date. The show is scheduled to premiere on March 6, 2022. Do not forget to mark your calendar accordingly.
Outlander Season 6 Cast
Well, the four main/central characters will surely be return for the upcoming season. It includes – Richard Rankin as Roger Wakefield, Caitriona Balfe as Claire Randall Fraser, Sophie Skelton as Brianna Randall, and Sam Heughan as Jamie Fraser.
It is also sure that we will not see Duncan Lacroix as Jamie’s godfather Murtagh due to his death at the end of season 5.
The showrunners have introduced a few new faces in the show as well.
A new entrant, Mark Lewis Jones, will play the role of Tom Christie, a ruler of a group of Protestant settlers. He has two children, Allan and Malva. Malva will appear to share a special bond with his father. The viewers will see her getting closer to Claire.
Further, Alexander Vlahos will play the role of Allan Christie, Jessica Reynolds will play the role of Malva Christie.
Outlander Season 6 Plot/Storyline
As we know, Diana Gabaldon’s book, A Breath of Snow and Ashes, is the source material for the upcoming season. However, it will not rigidly stick to the source material.
Moreover, the finale of season 5 left us with lots of unanswered questions that need to be answered in Season 6.
Claire must be in deep trauma from the horrific incident that happened with her in season 5. She was sexually assaulted by a group of people from which his husband Jamie finally rescued him. Though she had been broked inside, she was seen telling Jamie that she would not let the incident shatter her. However, rape is a heinous offense that not only affect the body of the victim but also the soul. The viewers might see the effect of the same in the upcoming season.
Moreover, Brianna got to know that she had a half-brother named William. Will she be able to find him?
Will Buck Mackenzie show up to cause a problem in their life of Jamie?
The showrunners have revealed the title of the first episode i.e, Echoes which is the title of the chapter from the seventh book. They further indicated that the title of the episode speaks for itself. They said that everybody would be dealing with one of the other past problems in the first episode.
The showrunners further confirm that there will not be a massive timeline jump, as there are lots of stories yet to be completed.
However, it is sure that the upcoming season will be going to be darker.

Well, the future of the series seems bright. Season 6 is not released so far, but the series is already renewed for the seventh installment. The seventh episode will have a total of 16 episodes. Further, the showrunners indicated that if everything goes well with both seasons, they will be more renewals in the future. Seeing the increasing viewership of the series, it seems the show has a long way to go.
