Where Is Top Boy Set and Where Is Top Boy Filmed?
The story takes place on the fictitious Summerhouse property in Hackney, East London. And many of the dramatic scenes are shot on Hackney’s streets.
The summerhouse is centered on the De Beauvoir estate in Hackney, close to Haggerston, off the Kingsland Road.
However, other parts of London are also featured. Classroom scenes were filmed at Walworth Academy in Southwark, clinic plotlines at Whipps Cross Hospital in Leytonstone, clubbing scenes in Chelsea, as well as games hall gatherings in Stoke Newington. Season 3 also included shooting scenes in Manchester, Margate, and Jamaica.
