In the Titans’ season-opening game against the Cleveland Browns, Brown made his NFL debut. He hauled in three receptions for a total of 100 yards in the 43–13 triumph on the road. His first two NFL touchdowns came in a 24–10 road win over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 4 of the season. He had three receptions for 94 yards and two touchdowns at the end of the game.

He scored an eight-yard touchdown in the 27–23 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 8. A.J. Brown Traded to Philadelphia Eagles

As part of the 2022 NFL Draft, Philadelphia Eagles acquired star wide receiver AJ Brown from Tennessee Titans in a blockbuster trade, and then picked Treylon Burks from Arkansas to replace him.

After reportedly becoming dissatisfied with his contract situation in Tennessee, Brown has agreed to a four-year, $100 million contract with the Eagles, which includes a guaranteed $57 million, according to sources. When the Titans traded for Burks, they obtained the 18th and 101st picks in the NFL, and Burks was selected with the first.

On Thursday, the Eagles found a wide receiver, although he was not among the incoming rookie class in the NFL Draft in 2022. Philadelphia traded its No. 18 pick to the Titans in exchange for A.J. Brown in a blockbuster deal originally reported by ESPN after trading up to draught Georgia defensive tackle Jordan Davis with the No. 13 overall choice.

In addition, the Eagles have already signed the Pro Bowl wideout to a four-year, $100 million agreement with a guaranteed $57 million, according to NFL Media, as they have a new long-term objective.

A third-round pick and No. 18 overall pick from the Eagles were sent to the Titans in exchange for Brown. They used the Arkansas star as a prospective Brown successor, while also receiving the No. 101 pick from the Eagles.

As a rookie in 2019, Brown has accumulated 2,995 receiving yards and 24 touchdowns, making him one of the best young receivers in the NFL. In view of the rapidly expanding wide receiver market, he was one of several high-profile wideouts who lately decided to hold out on voluntary workouts in quest of long-term contracts.

On social media, Brown had been particularly sensitive to reports of contract negotiations that had stalled, as well as suspicions that the team might be ready to deal with him.

Despite rumors linking him to the New York Jets, Deebo Samuel of the San Francisco 49ers, who has asked for a trade and was expected to be dealt, has decided to stay there for the time being. The Jets have instead signed Ohio State wide receiver Garrett Wilson to improve their receiving corps.

They had been looking for a wide receiver, and on Thursday night, they found one—just not in the new rookie class.

Picked by Pittsburgh, Pickett Was Green Bay’s only Receiver

The Green Bay Packers once again opted not to select a receiver in the first round, despite the fact that Davante Adams was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders in the summer, leaving the Packers shorthanded at the position.

Despite having two first-round picks, the Packers chose linebacker Quay Walker and defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt, both from Georgia, rather than a wide receiver.

Rodgers didn’t claim he wasn’t offended by the decision to choose a receiver in the first round of the NFL draught on the Pat McAfee Show, but added that “a lot of receiver busts in the first round.”
