During the tough times for the SnyderVerse, there was something everyone agreed on – they really liked Jason Momoa’s Aquaman. People loved him and his underwater world in the DC movies so much that his main film became one of the top action movies in the DC series. It made over $1.148 billion in theaters.
So, a second movie was pretty much guaranteed. Now, in today’s time, Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom is coming, with James Wan directing again. Luckily, we already have a good amount of information about the sequel to one of DC’s best superhero movies. The director and the cast have shared a lot. What is Aquaman 2 Plot
We don’t know a lot about the story of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom yet, but there’s a short official description: “When an ancient power is unleashed, Aquaman must forge an uneasy alliance with an unlikely ally to protect Atlantis, and the world, from irreversible devastation,” it reads.
We’re not sure about the “unlikely ally,” but it could be Orm, the person Aquaman defeated in the first movie, making Aquaman the new king of Atlantis. The sequel might start with Aquaman’s early days as the new king, dealing with his first challenge as ruler of Atlantis.
Even though we don’t know the details, Jason Momoa mentioned in October 2019 that the story was planned out. Apart from that, we don’t have a lot of information about the sequel, but the writer gave hints about where we should look for some clues.
“We’re not taking any one particular comic book story and adapting it, but if you want to know the vibe we’re going for, pick up pretty much any Silver Age story featuring Black Manta,” Johnson-McGoldrick told a fan on Twitter.
