On November 11th, 2022, Black Panther 2 will be released. The film’s release date has shifted several times since it was first planned on May 6, 2022, first to July 8, 2022, and now to November. After much deliberation, Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, decided in December 2020 that T’Challa would not be replaced in the next Black Panther sequel, Black Panther 2. During the Disney Investor’s Day event, Feige addressed the decision by saying: “Chadwick Boseman was an immensely talented actor and an inspirational individual who affected all of our lives professionally and personally. His portrayal of T’Challa the Black Panther is iconic and transcends any iteration of the character in any other medium from Marvel’s past. And it’s for that reason that we will not recast the character.”

The King may not be present in the film, but many of the other characters from the first film will be making an appearance. Some of the actors featured in Black Panther 2 are Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Florence Kasumba, Martin Freeman, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, Tenoch Huerta, Michaela Coel, and Dominique Thorne. Also, joining the cast is Lake Bell, who played Black Widow on the animated series What If…?
