Animated series On Cheeky Owlet ‘Eva The Owlet’ To stream On Apple TV+
Eva the Owlet is a new animated kid and family show based on the Owl Diaries books by award-winning author Rebecca Elliott, which are best-sellers at Scholastic and on the New York Times bestseller list. Apple TV+ recently ordered a full season of the show. Since it was first published, Owl Diaries has been translated into eight other languages and printed in three million copies.
Eva the Owlet is being made by Scholastic Entertainment, and Brown Bag Films is making the animation for it. It also has songs written by Fitz of Fitz and the Tantrums, who is a well-known musician, singer, and songwriter.

Eva is a creative, naughty owlet who lives next door to her best friend Lucy in the woodsy world of Treetopington. She is the main character of the show. Eva goes on high-flying adventures and writes about them in her journal. She has big ideas and an even bigger personality, so she has a lot to say.
Eva the Owlet is the newest show in the Apple TV+ kids’ changemakers initiative. This program brings together world-famous education leaders and the world’s best storytellers to make original shows for kids that are inspiring and educational. Through Apple’s original series like Stillwater, Hello, Jack: The Kindness Show, Pretzel, and the Puppies, and many more, the initiative helps kids develop their creativity, self-confidence, and ability to think critically.

For Eva the Owlet, Apple TV+ worked with a changemaker named John F. Evans, MAT, MA, Ed.D., who is a writing clinician, National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach at Duke Integrative Medicine, and the founder and executive director of Wellness & Writing Connections, LLC. Evans wrote the book Expressive Writing: Words that Heal with James Pennebaker.
It has been translated into six languages. He works with individuals and groups to teach them how to use writing to improve their physical, emotional, and mental health. He also worked with the executive producers and Scholastic Entertainment to help develop the series and add lessons about the importance of using writing as a tool for healthy self-expression.

The executive producers of Eva the Owlet are Iole Lucchese (Clifford the Big Red Dog), Caitlin Friedman (Caster), and Jef Kaminsky, all of whom have been nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award (Stillwater).

Head series writers Annabeth Bondor-Stone (Helpsters) and Connor White (Helpsters) are also Daytime Emmy Award nominees and serve as co-executive producers. Daytime Emmy Award nominee Damien O’Connor (Angela’s Christmas, Angela’s Christmas 2) is the series director. The show is made by the award-winning Scholastic Entertainment, which is also behind Clifford the Big Red Dog, Goosebumps, and The Magic School Bus.
The animation is done by the Emmy-winning and Oscar-nominated Brown Bag Films studio in Dublin and Bali, which is part of 9 Story Media Group (Doc McStuffins, Vampirina, and Octonauts).
