Sidney Chambers as James Norton

Norton has continued to work on television after leaving Grantchester; he played Stephen Ward on The Trial of Christine Keeler, Tommy Lee Royce again in Happy Valley, and Hugo Swan in The Nevers. He shared screen time with Amanda Seyfried in Things Heard & Seen and was in the most recent adaptation of Little Women.

Selin Hizli as Margaret Ward

Hizli continued acting after Grantchester, making guest appearances in episodes of Mum, Father Brown, Deadwater Fell, Avenue 5, and Doctors and co-creating and starring as Jen on the comedy series Am I Being Unreasonable? with her former classmate Daisy May Cooper. Recent work includes a recurring role in Kevin McKidd’s mu*der drama Six Four.

Morven Christie as Amanda Hopkins

Christie was nominated for a BAFTA Scotland Award for her roles as Alison Hughes on The A Word and DS Lisa Armstrong on The Bay. She also appeared as Penelope Fittes on Lockwood & Co. for multiple episodes. Payback, a criminal drama airing on ITV and Britbox, will feature her prominently.

Lorne MacFadyen as Phil Wilkinson

Since leaving Grantchester, MacFadyen has appeared on Vigil as Doward, in Pistol as music video director Julien Temple, and on Six Four as Hizli. He and his wife Niamh Algar made their acting debut this year on the medical drama Malpractice. His cinematic credits also include Outlaw King and Operation Mincemeat as well as The Little Stranger.

In the past year and a half, Beadle has appeared as a guest star on a wide variety of television shows, including Around the World in 80 Days, Midsomer Mu*ders, the Star Wars prequel series Andor, and the television drama Best Interests, in which he played the role of Frank. The films Persuasion and Rye Lane both featured him in supporting roles.

Tom Austen as Guy Hopkins

Following Grantchester, Austen reprised his role as Jasper on The Royals, guest-starred as Cody on The Bold Type and Elijah on Django, and starred as demon fighter Daimon Helstrom in the Marvel TV series Helstrom.

Neil Morrissey Harding Redmond

Morrissey has recently been a fixture on British television, appearing in episodes of shows including Striking Out, Unforgotten, Penance, The Syndicate, and The Long Call. However, the actor starred in all four seasons of the medical drama The Good Karma Hospital, making it his longest role since his Grantchester days.

Claudie Blakley as Agatha Redmond

Since leaving Grantchester, Blakley has been on the crime drama Manhunt, the thriller series Flesh and Blood, and the comic series Man vs. Bee, where she played the ex-wife of Rowan Atkinson’s character. This year also marks her return to the “cozy mystery” genre introduced by Grantchester with her role as parish secretary Isabela Devine in the TV series Father Brown.
