Horimiya Season 2: The Show Is Not Officially Cancelled

Horimiya anime Season 2 seems unlikely now but Kyoko Hori and Izumi Miyamura have taken their relationship to the next level, so what about their friends’ relationship in OVA episodes? Will Horimiya Season 2 come out? Do the manga end in March 2021  have any impact on the anime TV series?

Horimiya’s highly acclaimed first season came to a conclusion a few months ago. As a result, people are already wondering when Horimiya Season 2 will be released. It is one of the most popular series of the season, and the fans are asking for more episodes.

Everyone is now looking forward to enjoying the show’s conclusion. Horimiya season 2 has not been officially renewed for a second season as of this writing, and the series is unlikely to return.

Doogie Kamealoha, M.d. Season 2: Renewed or Canceled?

Horimiya has a MyAnimeList rating of 8.49/10 and an IMDB rating of 8.5/10, showing that it is well-liked by people all over the world. The concern is that Season 1 of the anime adaptation has already covered the majority of the manga, and since the series ended in late 2020, there is not enough source material for a second season.

However, if the show makers of this show announce anything official about its renewal then most probably we will share all the recent details with you.

Horimiya Season 2 Release Date

As far as we know, the show is not officially canceled yet by the show makers but there are very slim chances of a sequel because the first season covered the entire manga by adding a time skip and the final episode is based on chapter 122.

However, there are still many plotlines left uncovered for the upcoming installment, so OVA episodes or a movie covering the rest of the plot or a special plotline, similar to what CloverWorks did with the Bunny Girl Senpai movie, are both possibilities.

If a second season is planned in any case by the makers, it will be released in 2022 or 2023. We will keep updating you if anything official comes out

Some manga chapters were eagerly anticipated by fans, however, they were never included in the anime. A short slideshow at the end of the anime described a number of these difficulties. We can safely assume that Season 2 will not be produced because the anime finished on a nice message with no open ends.

Horimiya Season 2 Expected Storyline

In season 1 we have seen, the plot of ‘Horimiya’ focuses around Kyoko Hori, a beautiful and popular young lady, and Izumi Miyamura, an introverted and shy young man. Although they attended the same high school, their social status and beliefs are completely contradictory.

Their personalities at school, on the other hand, are consciously groomed to hide who they truly are outside of the academic institution’s four walls. When he goes outside, the nerdy Izumi dresses up in punk style, complete with earrings and tattoos.

Kyoko, on the other hand, dresses down and looks after her little brother Souta. Outside of school, the two cross paths, and after discovering each other’s secrets, they promise to keep the secrets hidden from their classmates.

The two finally develop feelings for each other as the plot progresses. They finally reveal their love in the end, and their friends appreciate and support their relationship. The two were seen graduating from high school in the series’ last episode. If the show gets renewed for a second season, we may expect to see Kyoko and Izumi’s romance continue.

The first season’s source material has already been exhausted. If the anime is to be continued, it will have to come up with a fresh storyline in a twisted and connected way to the previous story as well. Keep exploring here for more entertainment updates
