The family of former President Donald Trump has confirmed that his ex-wife Ivana Trump passed away at the age of 73. According to the previous head of state, she passed away in her New York City apartment.

As reported by the FDNY, at around 12:30 on Thursday afternoon, paramedics in Manhattan responded to a call about a woman in cardiac arrest and found the 73-year-old resident of the Upper East Side apartment where Ivana Trump once resided. The NYPD reported that she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Reports from police say that Ivana Trump was discovered unresponsive at the bottom of her apartment’s stairs. According to the sources, the police are trying to determine if she fell and, if so if the fall played a role in her death. The police have said that a medical examiner will determine the woman’s cause of death.

The former president paid tribute to Ivana on his website, Truth Social, writing that she was “a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life.”

Her three children—Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric—were “her pride and joy,” as he put it. We were all very proud of her, and she was very proud of them.

Ivanka Trump has spoken fondly of her mother, praising her as “brilliant, charming, passionate, and wickedly funny.”

“She lived life to the fullest — never forgoing an opportunity to laugh and dance,” Ivanka Trump said on Twitter while sharing a childhood photo of herself with her mother. “I will miss her forever and will keep her memory alive in our hearts always.”
